Bru-1 results from extensive cultivation efforts by Brulotte Farms, Inc. while searching for a new variety. Known for its pronounced pineapple profile, this dual-purpose imparts intense fruit and subtle notes of fresh grass to your finished beer. This hop pairs well with Citra®, Loral®, and Chinook.
BRU-1 hops offer true pineapple flavor. BRU-1 is notable for its distinct sweet fruit aroma that is often described as pineapple. When used as a whirlpool or dry hop addition, BRU-1 delivers the aroma of freshly cut pineapple and green fruits. BRU-1 is synergistic with other hops creating a depth of fruit flavor. BRU-1 has also been shown to improve haze stability in certain beer styles.
It is big and bold with a fruit-forward character that also offers clean bittering (13 - 17% AA). BRU-1™ has a high Myrcene oil content that makes up over 50% of the total oil and contributes aromas of pineapple and stone fruit that are backed by a soft spice. Pale Ales and IPAs are the obvious styles, but might we are going to try brewing some funky Belgian styles.
